4. I was never really a supporter.... |

I don't think wars solve problems, they only create more of them, but I picked not one minute longer. Home now if not sooner. Same with Iraq. Bring the troops home and let Iraq and Afghanistan choose their own destinies.

5. Too bad there's not a choice |

for Stopped Supporting It Long Ago, or maybe even Never Supported it.
After 9/11, when we started bombing Afghanistan, all I could think was that people in charge were seriously challenged geographically. Not a single hijacker was from that country. And why we stayed there after the first couple of months made no sense whatsoever.
Plus, I just don't get the idea that we can't afford health insurance for everyone in this country, but can afford to spend billions, yes billions with a b, to kill people in places like Afghanistan.

8. Well, I didn't include "never supported it" because the question is |
|
What happens next. What should have happened will be sorted out by the historians(or maybe in one of those "hearings" we were promised in exchange for letting Rahm force non-Democrats to be nominated by our party).

11. I don't support the Afghan War |
|
I am for immediate withdrawal, which, obviously, won't happen over night but if we get the ball rolling now to withdraw, hopefully we can have the majority of the troops out in a few months.

I guess that does not fit into to my moderate liberal mode but I think this war is a waste of time, money, and lives.

Never believed the half-dead kidney patient (and lifelong friend of the Bush Crime Family) was there in 2001, and he's in Hell now in either case.
It's about UNOCAL's oil, Centgas' natural gas, and the CIA/Bush Crime Family's Heroin. Not ONE FUCKING THING to do with a mostly fictional "terraist" group.

19. I guess I can't really pick any of the answers there. |

What I'm inclined to support is getting most of our troops out ASAP, leaving just enough to secure the regime in Kabul, while interdicting militants in the rest of the country with air assets based outside Afghanistan, as needed. I surely do love my peacenik brethren and sistren, but I think it would be a shame to risk Kabul falling to a regime of full-on religious freaks again, or to let them build up stable infrastructure in the countryside.
