What is the difference between a "blue dog" and a DLC'r? |
|
The "dogs" are of a more fundie religious mind set?
That's the only thing I can think of.

1. IMO there is some overlap but the diffeence is Blue Dogs are moderates, the DLC are con artists |

Blue Dogs are Democrats who are conservatives in the old fashioned sense. Not very imaginative and ultra cautious. Support basic Democratic principles, but in a very limited way.
DLCers are more insidious. They have created a hybrid that takes on the appearance of liberalism, but is in fact aligned with the interests of the Corporate Sector. They come up with sophisticated variations on right-wing free market uber capitalism, but they package it in ways that sound like it is progressive. "We have to remove all protections to the domestic economy, so that we can protect the domestic economy."
The Blue Dogs (as I envision them) are just really honestly moderate to the point of conservatism.
The DLC are con artists.

4. The DLC'ers are basically the |
|
corporatists while the Blue Dogs are the fiscal hypocrits. They will vote for any tax cut or war funding but not for anything for the good of the citizens of the country.
