What I've loving about the one Repub vote is now they have to put breaking news like this across MSNBC: 'One Republican Voted with Democrats on Health Bill."
I just love the thought that it will make Boner and Cantor miserable to lose the "Not one Republican votes for bill" narrative. Sure, it's just one lousy vote. But it makes all the diff in that part of the spin, which I'm LOVING!

36. No, sadly that was to keep horrid blue dogs from killing the damn thing |
|
I can't believe such a horrendous thing could pass with the kind of majorities we have in the House. I could see the Senate doing this but the amount of conservatives in our caucus is extreme.

either it's a good bill or it isn't. And the more Republicans who vote for it, the less likely it is to be any good.

29. He most likely voted for it because he is in a Dem district. |
|
So if he thought his vote would appeal to his district, it was not for it being a bill that was attractive to conservatives.

One lone repug voting for the bill doesn't mean both parties agree and have compromised.

33. Both parties agreed on much of the bill. |
|
To people complaining about the one repug vote, gleefully remind them that the House voted across party lines to add Stupak's amendments and move the bill forward... "they voted for it before they voted against it".
They chucked that shit at Kerry, it's fair game to chuck it back.

I expect he'll be a (D) soon, once he realizes that, oh, the (R) party was the one trying to kill him as a small child. He's (R) because of his faith (AFAIK), and hasn't quite realized that there's a huge "no killing" (D) wing.
