6. The ones who voted "no" are the ones Rahm recruited to run as Demopublicans |
|
My opinion is Obama should can this asshole right now but I trust him to do what needs to be done at the right time.

12. Rahm is likely friends with the ones who voted NO. |
|
He's the one who recruited most of the Blue Dogs into the DCCC. Rahm is not really a good friend to the progressive.
Obama could have made a better choice with Rahm.
And Geitner. And... etc.

13. Does anyone have the list yet? |
|
I'd like to see if my congressman was among the 39. Heaven help him if he is. He is an Illinoisan: land of Obama, Rahm, Durbin, and me. ;)

.... we can either have a Blue Dog who won't always vote our way, or we can have a Republican who'll take our gavel and committee chairs from us ..... I'll take the former.

5. These were protection votes for Dems in conservative districts |
|
That's the reality of politics. These were likely agreed to and negotiated by Pelosi et al prior to the vote.

You get the votes you need, then release anyone for whom the vote may present election issues. That's how it works on any controversial bill.
