But no Republican will vote on this bill...so I don't see why the Dems wanted this in. Sigh...now we have to work to eliminate the Stupak.

..... that the bill itself is about to pass with a pretty nice cushion. I think the reason the Stupak amendment passed with a large margin is that members were able to cast their vote for political reasons without having to worry about it costing the entire bill. (There aren't enough people who'll refuse to vote for the bill with this amendment in place to jeopardize it.)
