Today reminds me of the West Wing |
|
I can just see Josh Lyman, Toby, CJ, Sam, and Leo making phone call after phone call to various congressmen and women, bringing the undecideds to the White House for a sit down with President Bartlet. I can only imagine the OBAMA administration is doing the exact same thing. The white house must be a flurry of activity right now, all hands on deck for the staffers. This IS democracy in action.

we need Josh Lyman prowling the congressional offices right now, going to each blue dog and saying "You can take your legislative agenda and shove it up your ass!"

5. Your name reminded me of the movie with Cliff Robertson.... |
|
I remember that the book was "Flowers for Algernon", but the movie was something with Charlie in it. Great, great, great story.

4. There is no comparison between the West Wing and what we got today |
|
from both parties. West Wing is a work of fiction. Barlett would have never appeased the GOP in the way Obama has, and the fictional GOP in the show bears little resemblance to the traitors in the real GOP.
The USA in the West Wing is a fictional country as well, not like the country in which we live.
