Gunman kills 12, wounds 30 at Fort Hood
Army psychiatrist identified as attacker is captured alive, general says

An Army psychiatrist opened fire Thursday at Fort Hood, Texas, killing 12 people and wounding 31 others, military officials said.

The gunman was wounded multiple times at the scene but was captured alive and was in stable condition, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone, commanding general of the Army’s III Corps, said at a press conference late Thursday.

3. Wow, how did all the media get this so wrong for hours? Rachel reporting
he was shot multiple times but is expected to survive. Reportedly shot by a female first responder.

12. I just got home ....... was he thought to be dead?
I got the odd text from CNN on my phone (along with all the others) saying that he wasn't dead, but I saw no message saying that he was.
