TPM: House Health Care Vote Likely at 6PM Saturday

Now, the Senate needs to get itself in gear and pass something so that the whole thing can go to committee to hammer out a final draft. I'm so glad that Reid cares so much about having a thorough debate and "transparency", especially right now- when it doesn't involve such life-altering things such as giving POTUS a "blank check" to illegally invade/occupy a sovereign country on pretenses that should've been laughable on their face or giving a bunch of CEO "talents" a bailout because, through their malfeasance, incompetence, and/or negligence, they caused an economic meltdown that almost plunged us into another great depression.

But hey, what's a few more weeks or months to begin trying to help more people obtain affordable health insurance coverage, right???? I mean, it's not like some people don't desperately need it, right?

And, that was considered an improvement because it included the billions for the occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I have an issue with how much we spend on "defense" (which really should be properly referred to as "offense") but we wouldn't need to worry about spending so much on Iraq if Bush hadn't plopped us there and left us there in the first place. It's good to know that President Obama is winding down our involvement there. It's a huge improvement over John "100 years in Iraq!" McCain. I support our involvement in Afghanistan but agree that we either need some kind of new strategy or we should leave ASAP.

.... I'm glad a lot of the debate will happen on Saturday when more Americans are home to see it. ('cause you KNOW folks are gonna sit around and watch CSPAN on a Sat afternoon!!! ha ha, well, I can hope cant i?)
