which was the same % he had there in last years presidential election...

it wasn't a referendum on George W. Bush in November 2001 when he LOST those two governors ... and that was right after 9/11 ...

Virginia went Democratic for a long time ... until the Civil Rights issue passed ... and then they were the Southern Strategy ...

New Jersey ... not exactly a stronghold for Democratic governors over the years ... despite what you'd hear from the "liberal media" ...

12. K&R - We love Obama, but in NJ, there wasn't much to 'get out the vote' on.

I voted for the public option, I mean, Corzine, but I understand why people didn't 'get out the vote' for him.

We didn't have a congressional election, in my town, not even local offices. It was governor and state senate (who cares?).

Corzine's lucky that the World Series wasn't on.

This had NOTHING to do with Obama.

14. Those are exit polls, and less Democrats came out to vote.....

I think that his approval rating is larger than that....although the media seems to think that exit polls dominated by Repugs and Indies is reliable, as long as it makes appear Obama weaker than he really is.
