of taking a seat in congress. They managed this feat in a district as favorable to electing conservatives as almost any in the country. Better ground than this only exists in deeply rural areas of the deepest red south. In those few places, they already have incumbents who are totally within teabaghistan, so there is nothing to be gained by them running a challenger. I see this as a total failure for them.
I expect however that they see it as a near victory and reason to redouble efforts. I look forward to seeing them pushing Marco Rubio for Sen. in FL to defeat Crist. If they can get Rubio to a primary win, we can probably take the Senate seat in 2010.
