"It was the first White House Halloween for the Obama daughters, 8-year-old Sasha and 11-year-old Malia. But the White House refused to say where Sasha and Malia Obama were celebrating Halloween and what the two girls were wearing." http://www.boston.com/news/nation/washington/articles/2009/11/01/white_house_a_special_stop_for_treats/

I don't believe Quakers celebrate Halloween.
A friend of mine has two boys in a Christian school. They have to be on the "down low" about any involvement they have with Halloween--it can't get back to the teachers.

13. I'm a Quaker, and I darn sure celebrated Halloween this weekend |
|
My wife and I dressed up as pirates, helped our friends decorate their front yard with disturbing jack o'lanterns and tombstones, and handed out a truckload of candy to hundreds of neighborhood children.
Now, if this puts me at odds with others of my faith, we can talk, but I'm not stopping.

kids often select reputedly 'good' neighborhoods to visit with friends who live there. They probably have quite a selection, considering the school they attend.

Real unemployment is approaching 20%. Pakistan and region are in flames. I don't have time for what they are wearing in the palace at Versailles.
