Win or Lose now the GOP is about to totally implode |
|
If Hoffman wins, the Teabaggers have a victory over the establishment and they will not rest till their anarchist movement devours the party except in their stronghold of strongholds.
If Owens wins, the Teabaggers will blame the establishment who picked a candidate who endorsed the democrat over their dream boy.
Either way you have a chaotic, lunatic fringe, anarchy movement that is about to wage war on the established GOP leaders and this group does not have a leader nor do they trust any of the establishment figures within the GOP.
The fall out from this election is going to be really fun to watch.

3. Either way the Tea Baggers will claim victory |
|
If they win they win, if they lose they got rid of the RINO socialist and kept the GOP pure.
Either way, they were right, their party leaders were wrong, and now they should be in charge.

4. Agreed. I noticed that EX-Governor Palin was fairly quick to endorse Hoffman |
|
in this one, to establish her rogue creds and perhaps also to win some support for a possible indie bid in 2012.
You have it exactly right -- the fall-out here is going to be a huge story.

5. Nut jobs with no discernible leader |
|
politically burning anything that they think isn't pure within their political structure.
The one thing about movements that start out looking for ideological purity, no action is pure enough and there is always someone willing to outdo another person to prove how pure they are.
They would be better off embracing self immolation.

pursuit of a large fire indeed, hopefully one that will consume what's left of the Pukes.
While the nutbags have been perseverant in their character smearing of this president, it doesn't appear that it has done them any good, it may have even done them considerable harm, and this weekend's conservative polling outfits show Obama with a significant gain in approval.
Who can the GOP turn to in its dark hour of redefinition?
Jindal? Bachmann? the Newt? Man-on-dog Santorum?
A charming bunch.

The only shot they had was if Scozzafava won. The leaders of the party would still have justification to be leaders.
If Corzine wins on Tuesday and his victory is under 50%, it will be even a bigger rallying cry because the argument will be Christie wasn't conservative enough to prevent a Tea Bagger candidate in Tagget.
Oh happy day.

18. Palin was the most critical endorser, too |
|
She was the first really big name to endorse Hoffman. The others followed her. Meanwhile Huckabee and Romney missed their shot.

20. Yes. Following the Puke aspirants is already kind of entertaining. |
|
Huck and Willard evidently didn't want to get in the middle of it, but then again, neither of them could outflank the hapless John McCain last time.
Palin moved in fairly early and is a bit better off for it. It would be interesting to know who exactly put the Hoffman bug in her ear.

8. I hope Palin and Bachmann keep speaking out and get media attention |
|
with Glenn Beck cheering them on with pom-poms and leg kicks from the sidelines. Let's hear it from the most extreme among them in leading their new movement. The more that Palin becomes the face of this movement, the better.

The teabaggers are gonna be howling all the way to 2010. The Democrats may be shooting themselves in the foot with their lack of unity, but the bright side is because of the teabagger rebellion in the GOP, they won't be able to capitalize - either the party will split in half, or it'll go so far right that nobody outside of the teabagger crowd will support them, and they'll get 17% support next election.
Maybe if we're lucky, we'll get 65+ Senators, and we can tell Lieberman and other DINOs to stick it!

10. Our unity issues are legislative |
|
and there are few primary challenges for the 2010 elections.
There is also no threat to the leadership structure in the DNC right now. People can bitch but at the end of the day Barack Obama is the leader of the party.
Any democrat with a 2010 election was already threatened with a primary challenger and is doing what they are told.

It's a shame when we have to rely on the utter assholism and intellectual bankruptcy of our opposition to maintain our political advantage.
