Lieberman proves he's a lying, disingenuous jerk who is simply against health reform |
|
Lieberman Would Prefer ‘Nothing’ To Health Care Reform With A Public Option In his discussion with Schieffer, Lieberman acted as though the public option was the only thing stopping him from supporting health care reform. But this ignores the fact that Lieberman opposed the Baucus bill last month, which did not contain a public option. Apparently, Lieberman truly just wants “nothing” when it comes to health care reform. Status Quo Joe.

6. Howard Finemam says Traitor Joe enjoys his "pariah" status. |
|
What do you do with someone who loves to be hated?
On a related note, Joe would not get nearly the credit, status, attention if he were to become a bonafide Republican. Once they have him, they'll shove him to the back of the bus because he will have served his purpose.

8. bad attention is still attention |
|
folks think if we just strip him from our caucus, that'll teach him, but it won't, it will simply embolden him.
The reality is there is no fix for him until he is beaten at the ballot box.

9. No kidding (what do you do w/him). Nutter Ron Paul is the same animal. |
|
He loves being called "Dr. No" - because he votes "no" on everything. He loves that he drives the GOP insane.
Lieberman is our (the Dem caucus) Ron Paul, ack.

10. Lieberman is not *for* or *against* anything. He's just looking for attention and power. |

11. actually that is an unfair summary of what he said on Face the Nation |
|
Lieberman is also opposed to subsidies which would explain his opposition to the Baucus bill (that and the tax on health care plans also opposed by Lieberman). In short, Lieberman is unappeasable here so we need to either go reconsiliation, hope he doesn't filibuster, or get a Republican vote.

12. I'm starting worry a little that he isn't bluffing |
|
I'd think if he were he would would leave some wiggle room in his statements to change his mind instead he seems to be drawing a pretty big line in the sand.
