Not surprised that thorium deposits are part of it, but Nigeria really doesn't have that much of it, unless thy might be talking about rocks on the surface, ready to be picked up.

My tuess is that King BrainRot has his panties in a wad over Nigeria because a bunch of Christians there are screaming to missionaries who are screaming to crazy Christians here and he knows he can't afford to lose the crazy Christian demographic.

My guess is that he's got a bug up his ass over Venezuela because Madruro is a commie and commies scare his friends. They and Colombia might also be the new distribution hub for fentanyl now that Mexico ha really been trying to clean that up. Not a clue if thay pans out, we'll have to see if a bunch of Chinese crooks are rounded up there, pushing fentanyl through. Yes, China makes the world's fentanyl.

Please note that salt moderated thorium reactors aren't a panacea. They will just be better suited to dry climates like the US west, much of Australia, western China, and a good bit of India. Of course, biw that Thiel's "seasteading" idea has been such a spectacular bust, they all think they're gpomg to create Galt's Gulch on cheap land in somebody's desert. No word on what they're going to drink when they get there.
