For them to even form opinions on the political climate over here in the states. I was so relieved to hear their fears of gun violence which is glossed-over here constantly.

That is #1 for me after living abroad. I never worried about guns over there. As an invisible woman, I could observe anonymously and saw the dangers for women all over Europe. That toxic male nature exists in every culture. Americans can get loud but if you’ve ever been to any October fest in Germany, they were “the loudest ever” for me.
