It's like a nightmare that you can't wake up from or a horror movie that turns out is real life.

What I don't understand is that there are people who can stop him, but instead he surrounds himself with sycophants who are not qualified for the jobs they were rewarded with, who are often as bad as he is. Liars who are cruel and heartless and are in it for the power they believe they have, but as we've seen - the best example is Michael Cohen - he'll turn on every one of them eventually.

As for Republicans in Congress - I have no idea what they see in him or they're too afraid to speak out. I have Liz Cheney's book and only 10 Republican House members had the cojones to vote yes on impeachment. And only 2 of those 10 were reelected to the next Congress. Is it really worth it to answer to a power mad tyrant instead of working for the people who elected you, whose interests you were elected to serve??

Sorry to go on, but what you said did get to me. I keep thinking that there's a way that this nightmare will end. I was always grateful that I was fortunate enough to have been born in this country, thanks to my immigrant ancestors, but times have changed in a heartbeat, and now Americans are researching to see if there's a way they can return to the countries of their ancestors - in search of a better life. I keep thinking that this must end, but when??
