Look at her background: she graduated from Yale University with a bachelor's degree in history and from Yale Law School with a Juris Doctor degree. After law school, she served as a law clerk for several senior federal judges, including Chief Justice John Roberts, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, and Judge Amul Thapar.

And Usha was a better law student than J.D.

There's no way that J.D. can pull the traditional patriarchal superiority BS with a wife like that.

When my parents met and married in the Fifties, he was a resident physician. My mother had a BA from Barnard AND a Master's from Wellesley.

During the tenure of their marriage, Dad continually tried to exert male superiority over Mom -- and she wasn't having it. She graduated from not one, but two independent women's colleges, and learned critical thinking and leadership. The more Dad pushed, the harder Mom pushed back. He actually thought that doctors trumped six years of college with two degrees. He was sorely mistaken. And he hated it. And Mom hated it too, but for different reasons.

If my pattern is valid, I can't imagine Usha tolerating the Trump male superiority position. If anything, I would hope that she would start a new life, independent from her husband, if anything, to prevent her sons from adopting his misogyny.
