he voted for the Civil Rights Acts of 1957, '60, '64, '68, the Voting Rights Act of '65, Medicare, and the confirmation of Thurgood Marshall to the Supreme Court, as well as PBS funding.

It just goes to show that there are "good people on both sides".

Oh wait, Senator Pastore was a Democratic Senator. Well, maybe there were Republican senators who voted for all of those. They were different times after all.
