He isn't cancelled when the show will continue for ten months and he can say whatever he wants (the show was losing CBS $40 million a year). The real story is that CBS has now added someone whose job it is to monitor the news for "fairness", a promise made to the Trump administration. Trump's head of the FCC believes that mainstream news has been unfair and he even threatened The View with what happened to Colbert could happen to them. And the GOP, they say nothing.
