4. And I always thought that was enough, being married to an American citizen was enough

But TFG is the first to question this and is going after those who follow the rules and even those who are already citizens. I keep thinking of my Polish grandmother who arrived here as a young girl in 1912. When she was in her late 20s she married another Polish immigrant, my grandfather - who was made a citizen and was sent to France to fight for his new country in WWI.

I never thought much about it as a kid, but apparently she cast her first vote as a citizen for LBJ. So if TFG had been POTUS at the time, she could have been hauled away and sent back - or to some country she'd never been to - even though she was married to a citizen, had worked since she arrived, and had a family??
