And for the time being this plane is replacing the aging Air Force One. However, it had to be modified with all the repairs and security measures that are necessary to function as Air Force One. Apparently the Qatari government tried unsuccessfully to sell it, so decided to give it as a gift. And it's not the next Air Force One, apparently the felon-in-chief plans to keep it, as part of his Presidential Library Foundation, whatever that turns out to be. Talk about a violation of the foreign emoluments clause. Former presidents were not allowed to keep more modest foreign government gifts.
