Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Hypothetical: If Biden dies of coronavirus, what should happen to the primary? [View all]Don1
(1,666 posts)53. Life is macabre right now.
Right before I made this op, I learned that 3 people in my town died today of coronavirus. They were all older people. The mortality rate maybe isn't that bad, but for vulnerable older folks and when other factors are considered, things can happen. When you consider that Bernie, Joe, and Trump are all older people and primaries are moving dates around because of this horrific event, it is extremely likely that weird things are going to happen during this election cycle. Someone could die. The election could get postponed. But in any case, we ought to consider such possibilities and know how they will get fairly handled in a free society.

primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden

Ain't gonna happen. Biden is fit as a fiddle, and access to some excellent health care.

I think that after his behavior, most Democrats would not tolerate Senator Sanders. n/t.

I hope Biden's campaign team are also going on a plan B - if he has to go up against Pence. nt
