Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Hypothetical: If Biden dies of coronavirus, what should happen to the primary? [View all]The Magistrate
(96,043 posts)Mr. Gothmog has been putting up nearby an account of the feelings of supporters of Mrs. Clinton, and how they have voted in this primary, and intend to vote where they await their chance to do so. These people are determined he shall not have the nomination, and is not allowed to repeat his sabotage of 2016. You may fairly gauge my feelings from my tone of expression concerning the man. Personally, I consider him a menace, who acts in effect as a left auxiliary for the Republican party, as the effect of his jihad against the 'Democratic Establishment' is to weaken efforts to turf out the cheap thug Trump and McConnell, the gravedigger of our Republic. There is no doubt whatever 'Bernie' knows this is the effect of his actions, and so to him, this is a 'win-win' situation. On the vanishing chance he secures the nomination, he overthrows the 'Democratic Establishment'. If he does not, and has weakened the Party's effort in the general election by his efforts at disruption and tuning his supporters to despise the 'Democratic Establishment', to such a degree that our effort fails, perhaps this will so discredit the 'Democratic Establishment' that our Party will have nowhere to turn but 'Bernie' for a champion.
"From Bernies perspective, dropping out of a race once you have no chance of winning is peculiar behavior that can only be explained by the work of a hidden hand. For most politicians, though, it is actually standard operating procedure. Only Sanders seems to think the normal thing to do once voters have made clear they dont want to nominate you is to continue campaigning anyway."
"When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed. When plans do not succeed, people become uneasy. When people are uneasy, punishments do not fit crimes. When punishments do not fit crimes, people cannot know where to put hand or foot."

primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
