(77,382 posts)I think it is better if you aren't thinking about Bernie or his supporters. That might be a good approach for those who view things in the same general manner that you do.
For myself, a lot of my family, friends, and associates like Bernie, while others like Joe. And that's fine.What I find troubling is when otherwise intelligent, good people talk (or post) nonsense about the other candidates and their supporters. There is, in fact, not only zero benefit in that, but negative consequences.
That energy should instead be invested in the positive. That may or may not include communicating with what one mistakenly sees as "the other side," or worse yet, "the enemy." Hopefully, any sane person who likes either candidate will recognize that we are all in this together. We are not on some imaginary wall, where some will perish while others survive.
