You can't energize the base running for cover. You can't cancel or it looks dishonorable. It will look undemocratic to independents. Republicans will use it.

On the flip side, the debate is valuable. To democratic principles. Why do you think Biden wants to debate?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
