End of Life Issues

I've had the luxury of putting things in order, talking to the people I want to talk to, and people I didn't think cared as much have made an effort to contact and/or see me.

In that way, it's better than if I died in a car crash on the highway.

That said, I'm not sure I want to drag it out to where I'm in a wheelchair and have to be "assisted" in my living. I'd kinda like to take advantage of the opportunity to say my goodbyes and manage my death and then just go.

I don't have a problem with going from functional person to dying, but I'm not sure I want to do the functional person -> invalid -> dying. It's the invalid part that scares me. For a few days, maybe, but months on end? I think not.

Does that seem weird?
