Old how-to books about building, gardening, animal care, recipes and so on.

If you are a vet, you can get a free library card from Free Library of Philadelphia, even if you don't live in PA. I have one, and I read a lot of books from there (fiction, mostly, but they have some good NF books as well). They also have a magazine section, and a place to get videos (I haven't checked that out, so no idea what they have).
