One thing I like about O'Malley is that he remains civil and self-disciplined even when strongly asserting his progressive ideas. Those who disagree with him do not feel intimidated by him. His manner is inclusive. He is honest and progressive, but without a sledge hammer. His principles are firm. He has accomplished a lot as an executive. And he is likable. He is a good fit for many democrats. Many folks with an eye and ear for subtle strength, confidence, and rationality will be drawn to him.
