15. I don't think Clinton really believes all that crap, not that that says anything good about her

I think she was cynical enough to believe that associating with this gang of nuts will build her credibility with the group that she believed represents the prevailing mood of Americans.

Because all her feedback comes from the beltway media, she actually thought that we're all a bunch of religious fanatics and if she pretended to be one of us we would all love her.

Obviously she miscalculated badly and she's now trying to back away. She'd like everybody to just forget this episode in her life ever happened.

It's not a profession of faith it's a calculated political move. Which is probably worse.
