All we know is that the investigation is still ongoing.

If some sort of definitive report is released, then that might end or at least reduce speculation. A bigger problem for Clinton is if nothing happens -- no indictment, no criticism, but no exoneration, just silence. Continued uncertainty would be a problem for her going forward.
