Site management isn't my job, but staying informed is. For what it's worth, I like the new format and truly appreciate the ongoing updates, which reflects well on a responsive and professional IT team that cares about their product. But the bottom line is that there is no better site where Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, or anyone else can come for factual, timely information and also find a sense of community with generally rational and kind people of all shapes, sizes, colors, ages, genders or gender identities, or any other ridiculous label the rest of the world wants to foist upon us.

In case you haven't noticed, the people of this country are slowly waking up and are growing sick and tired of the right wing creeps and their endless stupid culture wars, their extremism, their made-up evangelical idiocy, their lies, greed and corruption, and their incomprehensible hypocrisy and projection. And we are at this point in our lives, our history in the US and abroad, stuck with a media that has lost its collective integrity, its very soul, in service of profits and the ideological fantasies of their CEOs and stockholders.

I don't care if DU changes their format to an old DOS black screen with scrolling green text and a single font. Ain't going nowhere. Glad to be here. Proud to be a Liberal Democrat - a Kennedy Democrat of the JFK variety if that matters (not the Google quasi neo-liberal version, but the "no Pax-Americana" JFK where we all breath the same air).
