3. Trump is a pathological liar. Get that straight and remember it.

Nothing that comes out of his mouth can be trusted.

A pathological liar lies compulsively and impulsively, almost without thinking about the consequences of his action. He lies regularly on a spontaneous basis even if he gains no benefit from it, or even if he traps himself into it. A pathological liar cannot control his impulse to lie and it is usually a self-defeating trait.

As an example, when Trump was interviewed by the NY Times about Streep's comments, after denying he had mocked the reporter, he went on to talk about the record breaking attendance that will happen for his inaugural and how all the dress shops are sold out.

What?

Here's the NY Times excerpt:

“We are going to have an unbelievable, perhaps record-setting turnout for the inauguration, and there will be plenty of movie and entertainment stars,” Mr. Trump said. “All the dress shops are sold out in Washington. It’s hard to find a great dress for this inauguration.”

When I first read that last comment about the dress shops at 5:30 this morning, I thought it was really weird. Turns out some reporters also did, too, and followed up to find out later today that numerous high end stores in DC have plenty of inventory of formal gowns that they are hoping to sell. There is NO shortage of dresses.

Why would Trump say such a thing? Could he really be spending his time checking inventory of formal gowns? Did Ivanka or Melania say something to him that gave him the idea? Why would they? It just doesn't make any sense.

Turns out the reason it doesn't make any sense is that it most probably is an example of Trump's impulsive lying.
