2016 Postmortem

(26,120 posts)4. During Watergate - We Had A Press That Had Journalistic Integrity......
I'm talking about Woodward and Bernstein and newspapers that dug down for the truth. We also had 'Deep Throat' a person that - in my opinion - was a true patriot - that risked his career and life to take down Nixon. We also had Party (Repug) notables that put the country before partisanship and went to the WH and put pressure on Nixon (one of their own) to resign.
Look at what we have today. Need I say more?
