Hillary lost the GE

You can only blame the candidates for their own failures. You can't blame Hillary for Bernies lack of strategy in the primary and you can't blame Bernie for Hillary ignoring states and not being a more populist (aka lying) candidate in the GE towards voters.

I have no idea what the affinity is of people blaming anybody other than the candidate for their loss. If the candidate lost, they did something wrong....the blame lies solely on them.
