I know you might find it hard to believe, but I really do feel for her.
Can you imagine what it must be like to have gone through the things she has? She deserves so much praise for coming out of her husband's shadow. First she had to endure the humiliating list of affairs and sexual scandals that her husband was involved in, and she dutifully played the role as loyal wife, standing by her husband through all of it. She sacrificed her own well-being and some would even say her pride for the sake of the country, the Democratic Party and her children.
Moving forward, she was clever enough to find an open Senate seat in a state she knew nothing about and she shoe-horned her way into the Senate with really no advantages other than a popular two-term President as a husband a large political war chest. She served honorably as Senator, standing up for core Democratic issues as a loyal soldier -even on issues that we now know she was against such as opposing gay marriage. In fact, she was so loyal of a soldier, that she went with the majority of Democrats in voting for the resolution to use force in Iraq and other "difficult choices".
More difficulty came her way when she tried unsuccessfully parry a Senate term into the highest office in the land only to find herself beaten by the first-ever Black president of the United States (not counting Bill who some people said was actually the first Black President). Incredibly, though, she took those lemons and turned them into lemonade when the very same Barack Obama selected her as Secretary of State, which some say he did merely as a cynical ploy to prevent her from opposing him in his run for 2nd term.
While Secretary of State, Hillary loyally carried out the wishes of the President on issues we now know she is against such as her pushing of the TPP Trade Deal, her promotion of fracking all around the world, and her negotiating unprecedentedly large arms sales to oppressive regimes. It could not have been an easy time for her and she deserves credit for doing things were such an anethema to her.
Now we find her trying to claim the position of POTUS that she is so deserved of and she has to deal with a challenge from who of all, but a Socialist who wasn't even a Democrat! It's outrageous, and this obscene crime against all that the Centrist Wing of the Democratic Party and its beloved lobbyists hold dear is compounded by the fact that they dare challenge her credentials as a Progressive! They have the temerity to oppose her from the Left, claiming to be a movement of establishment outsiders when nothing could be further from the truth! She points out rightly that the true outsider in this race is Hillary Clinton herself despite what anyone might believe.
Things are starting to look like a slow-motion nightmare now, the kind that you have over and over again, like the one where you're being chased by a monster and you just can't get your legs to run right... you know the one I mean. It must be very dispiriting, a kind of nauseating deja-vu like finding yourself staring into a mirror in a brightly fluorescent lit bathroom while you're tripping on high-powered acid. Actually, forget that last part. I'm kind of veering into my own personal freak out space now.
But anyway, the point is the same, and that's that I really do feel sorry for Hillary. I wish her nothing but the best.
