Wonder Why

2. I loved Rod Serling's works when first shown and still love them now. He was one amazing writer.

I don't remember this episode but that's nothing new as my memory slowly fades.

I think my favorites were about space. One had astronauts land on a barren planet and as they killed each other off, it is only at the end that the viewer finds out they landed near Las Vegas. The other was the poor rural woman attacked by miniature people from an alien planet - who turn out to be earth astronauts who landed on a planet of giants.

I think the one about the climate with a woman and her small daughter who are slowly dying because the planet has become too warm to survive. Only it is their imagination because the planet is really getting too cold and they are freezing. I'm not even sure any more if I remember it right. It might have been that they think they are freezing but in fact, they are dying from the heat.

What a brilliant person was Rod Serling. I wonder what he would be writing about with today's political climate.

Excellent video.
