Yesterday

in the past, normal El Niños usually mean dryer areas in the northern part of North America and wetter areas in the southern part.

for example, here in the states, the last one had areas of the northwest have bad droughts and wild fires while here in texas it was wetter than normal.

there is much better info online, this is just off the top of my head.
