It is an incredible story - the Warsaw Ghetto rebellion. I am Indian (nominally Hindu), but my mom was interested in history and has read a bunch of WW2 history. Mom was rather pro Israel. It was a bit random as, I have rarely known her to have interest in any issues outside the environment and animal rights.

It probably is tied to adequate exposure to the horrors of WW2 which was not typically given quite as much importance here as it is accorded up north. And that is no good.

Because you cannot have but a warped and stunted conception of history without recognizing how important the holocaust was to fascists everywhere.
