how the ideals of progressive Christianity of the Seventies were not maintained by the majority of my generation.

I'm talking about the messages of Godspell, the Friday night coffee houses, even Jesus Freaks to some extent.

The wave of Peace & Love, charity, stuff that would be called "Woke" in today's terms.

I understand it was a counter-culture Christianity with Hippies-Meet-Jesus, but it was real.

While I can't blame everything on Reagan, it seems to me that the pursuit of affluence and status replaced the ideals of the Seventies.
