3. My Beltane Friends

Beltane is a very beautiful time of the year.

I've been a Christian ll my life whom my minister (from the South, Florida maybe why they think the Wiccan are "devil worshipers ~ and they are one of the most liberal church denomination in the country (well except many from the South). One time, as a church elder I read a Wiccan prayer and while not a word was said, I was chosen to stand with a former Church of Satan member. I was asked to stand with him as I guess was supposedly a "devil worshiper" and would understand "those people" with his conversion. NO I am not even close to one, I did not know why I felt this way at the time I did not know why but I was terrified to meet a friend of a friend Church of Satan member and the conversation felt like although we were having a normal conversation. But far above us I felt as tho there was a battle happening underneath and I did not know why..

I do not have any problem with The Church of Satan, hey it is a free country and free religion. I do think we sometimes grow into places where we are ready to move on to other levels. Whatever way the Universe connects with you, it is a choice you can make, you know? But I told him (the converted) that whatever way you connect to the Universe is between us and the Universe (or Whom I call All That Is. I think I learned from Messages From Michael or maybe Seth Speaks). I told him that whether or not he felt it was not the best faith for him, I am glad to worship with him and it was nice to hang out (and then snuck in my way to speak to God"The Goddess&quot To me it is about how you can chime in with All That Is.

It was close to Beltane is why I chose the prayer. We respect and embrace the Abrahamic faiths, which IMO is a start but ...So I lit a white candle when I prayed. This was why I think the minister thought Wiccan was "devil worship"? I mean we use white candles too, the prayer sounded very Christ-like to me, and they know my word for God is "The Goddess," sometimes or "my Holy Mother."

🌿 Wiccan Healing Prayer

By moon’s soft glow and sun’s warm light,

I call the powers of day and night.

Earth, cradle me in roots so deep,

Water, wash the wounds I keep.

Air, breathe calm through heart and mind,

Fire, burn the pain I find.

Goddess, God, and all that’s true,

Bring health and peace in all I do.

How to pray: Its suggestion as to how to use it
Light a white or green candle for purity and renewal.
Hold a crystal like amethyst or clear quartz while reciting.( I do not have any crystals, I cannot afford them)
Visualize golden light surrounding you or the person you’re healing.

Sheesh, I am not giving up using it because Christians do not often see God in the feminine so I in order to speak heart to heart, I am standing with my own faith and connection with the Goddess darn it!
Love, Cat from Seattle
