7. I took a two-week driving trip with a dear friend, now deceased.

We met up in Denver, moseyed our way west along the north side of the Grand Canyon, and spent a night wandering the casinos of Las Vegas (without gambling!).

The next morning we headed back east, beginning at the Nevada/California border and trying our best to follow old Route 66. It was fascinating! At one point, we needed to cross a bridge on a very old, nearly dirt road portion of the road. We decided that we wanted everyone to know that we were crossing intentionally, just in case the bridge collapsed. So we took selfies in front of the bridge!

Oh, I do miss Pete!
