Like nearly all QBs, Brady appears to have finally hit the wall and is playing like we would expect a 40+ year old NFL player to perform. This is the "Old Brady" vice the "Brady of Old," which is the guy who was the chief villain to every team in the AFC, especially the AFC East.

Also, environment is everything, as its not just the QB who gets the team to and wins the Super Bowl. Brady was fortunate in that he ended up on a team with a fairly loaded roster that included an established QB who he could learn from, and an excellent coach (keep in mind, New England had gone to and lost the Super Bowl for the second time only 3 years before Brady was drafted). Had he ended up on say, the reconstituted Cleveland Browns or a perennial cellar team like the Detroit Lions, Tom Brady would most likely be an afterthought in NFL history.
