My sister just sent me the DVD, Frida. What a great movie, especially after reading that book. Really added to the whole experience.
I grew up in the Southwest and studied art history but never heard of her until now. I can see why, though. She was quite the liberated woman back then. My sister, who still lives down there, tells me she is now highly regarded and adored. I'm happy to know that.
