8. I am trying to read some of the noted U.S. 20th Century writers I am not familiar with, currently

John Fante's Ask The Dust, and who I have decided is like William Burroughs, Mailer and Bukowski, an angry asshole.

and Raymond Carver's collected stories, who presented the pathos of working and middle class Americans in the mid century, they are very perceptive and I am enjoying them.
