Okay, questions to those of you who are published authors. [View all]

I know any number of published authors. Some of whose work I read, some I don't.

In my city there is going to be an author event for an author whom I know and like, but I am not remotely interested in the series being promoted. I do not want to be rude to him.

Any suggestions?

The simplest is to not go to the event at all, which is my first inclination. But I'm open to suggestioins.
