It's about a precocious 13 year old who meets a homeless girl in Paris. It's our book club "set text" for this month - so I have less than 24 hours to finish it.
It's written in the present tense - which seems to be a thing these days - which irritates me. So far neither the plot nor the characters hold any interest for me.
