I enjoy it and I am making a difference in peoples' lives. We get students looking for a new career from high school to mid-sixties looking to boost their retirement. We graduate them into good paying jobs. In our current group we have a 54 year-old MD who wants to go into marine archeology.

I don't really need the extra money, but it comes in handy. So far, the student evaluations have not included something like, "This guy is well past his sell-by date!"

The social aspect is an important part of this. Also, for me, it seems that retirement is an admission that I am old.

The school accommodates me and I ride the elevator instead of taking the stairs. We have another instructor who just turned 80.
