7. No such thing as an "Accidental Discharge" with a modern design firearm

The correct term is "Negligent Discharge".

With the exception of reproduction firearms (1873 Colt SAA and the like) every firearm has a solid steel hammer block or other mechanical safety as part of the design, often more than one safety is built into the gun.

In virtually every case, when it's reviewed on tape for police, it turns out they had their finger in the trigger guard and had violated one or more of the 4 safety rules.
