and the Oath Keepers are idiots who's lack of understanding of our Constitution is both sad and shocking.

However, the TPM headline is misleading and this really isn't a gun rights story. The Oath Keepers' actual statement, while often vile and simply wrong as a matter of law, does not reference the Second Amendment, nor actually directly threatens anyone with violence, including U.S. Marshals, firearm or otherwise. The First Amendment guarantees their right to spew their ideology and peacefully mostly protest where and how they choose (including carrying firearms where otherwise permitted by law, although the gun issue was not raised by the group in connection with, nor is it part of, the Kim Davis story).

Oath Keepers and Kim Davis offer more than ample reasons for disgust and discussion. There's simply no need for TPM to add any embellishments.

This story is certainly newsworthy, but belongs in LBN or GD.
