8. our anti-science government marches on due to Big Pharma & the revolving door

Big Pharma wants to keep making huge profits off its old drugs and med mj is in the way.

Cannabidiol (CBD) has been proven in animal studies effective for antitumor properties in certain types of cancer (breast, colon among others). But gawd forbid the US gov and Big Pharma would make it available 1) for human trials; 2) for doctors and patients.

NIH publishes lots of these studies yet won't fund a human trial for CBD and cancer. As a cancer patient, I'm outraged.
